Thank You for a Great Night!

Thank you everyone for another fun and successful auction/party. Wow, was that food amazing!  Thanks to La Bedaine and all the other Jefferson parents that brought such an array of wonderful food. The Berkeley High Jazz Duo reminded us of why Berkeley's music program is so awesome. Our MC's brought down the house this year with never to be forgotten karaoke.  Let's hope this trio of teachers doesn't leave us for a singing career!

Thanks to the volunteers who made this wonderful event a success.  We had such a hard working group of people and I want to thank them for all the work they did.  I also want to thank the patron saints of Jefferson, Emmett Eiland's Oriental Rug Company, for hosting us again.  They also gave us a check for $500 to help with the Giving Campaign match. They have a Facebook page and it would be wonderful if everyone could thank them for their generosity.

Winners - Tomorrow you will be notified by email of your winnings.  You can pick up your items after payment at school or arrangements can be made to have them dropped off at your house.

We raised $23,165.00  thanks to all our bidders and attendees.  Our highest amount to date.  Money from the auction will go to pay for PE, field trips, ELD teacher, and other programs that benefit all our kids.

This hand knit lab rat dissection will answer all your questions. This piece is knit with fuzzy mohair yarn to give it a warm a petable feel. The organs are needle felted wool and shaggy alpaca fleece and are carefully crafted to induce light shudders and serious brow wrinkling.

Your rat is mounted with metal T pins in a 13"x13" black shadow box and guaranteed to provoke conversation wherever you display it.

Hangar One Vodka Tour for Four

Without a doubt. Most vodkas begin as a big industrial column still of fermented wheat that is cranked out by thousands of gallons a minute. Add to that, an occasional bit of flavored fruit extract - end of story.

Our method is different. We start by distilling fresh fruit on the same day it’s picked. Sometimes we work through the night so that the flavor we capture in our still represents the fruit at its most thrilling moment. We make an eau de vie, using centuries-old European methods, in a copper still.

Every bottle of vodka we make begins the same way. Fresh, in-season fruit from farmers we know by first name. Craft distillation by hand, in small batches. When something’s made like this, with love, you can always taste the difference.

Your tour will give your group an overview of craft distillation and artisanal spirits, with a chance to view our stills, fermentation tanks, barrel storage, and bottling line.
